What started historically as "Rickshaw" in Asia, can now be flagged down in London's inner city as a "Chariot", or in Berlin as a "Fahradtaxi". And some people even call it "Petty Cab"!
Now Alameda Pedicab, locally owned and operated, brings the "pedicab experience" to Silicon Valley, the San Francisco peninsula, the South Bay and East Bay, and in particular to the quaint alleys, bustling downtown area, Victorian neighborhoods and South Shore of Alameda, as well as to the aircraft carrier "Hornet", Mariner Square Drive and Ferry Terminal areas (per request). Alameda Pedicab "Green Valet Services" operate by reservation only, at weddings and private parties, corporate and public events, tours and fundraisers in Silicon Valley / the San Francisco Bay Area (except for the City of San Francisco).

At Alameda Pedicab, we live and love to ride, and ride in such a way that our customers enjoy a comfortable and safe experience. Your rider loves the challenge of pedaling hard. Alameda Pedicab's founder rode his bicycle through the mountains of Germany and Switzerland, and later down the Pacific Coast from Seattle, WA to Santa Cruz, CA. Your Alameda "Pedicabby" is there to help if passengers need assistance with getting in and out of the Pedicab, or if they have any questions or suggestions along the ride. We provide seatbelts for you to safely buckle up in the backseat. Alameda Pedicab is fully insured.
A Senior-friendly Ride
Other than some pedicabs that you may have seen in San Francisco or abroad, the Alameda Pedicab model "Broadway" provides a footstep and a handlebar to help senior and physically challenged passengers to safely enter and leave the pedicab. Also, your friendly Alameda Pedicabby will gladly lend you a hand!
Top-Notch, Safe Equipment - Made in America
We use only the most state-of-the art, robust and safe equipment from Colorado-based market leader Mainstreet Pedicab. Your Alameda Pedicab model "Broadway" provides a spacious 41" three person seating room and a stronger fork for a luxurious three passenger ride. It features 11" side steps and a handrail for easy entry, a heavy duty triple-clamp fork, seat belts, integrated fenders and underseat storage. The Broadway pedicab has a strong, TIG welded 4130 Steel Alloy frame with powdercoat finish & heavy duty steel axles. Braking is provided by a powerful hydraulic 8-3/4" rear disk brake and supported by a front V-brake. The Alameda Pedicab also features a 12 volt lighting system for turn signals, night ride safety and braking signals.
